Cut Options#
Select how the label is cut after printing.
Select the cut option you want under [Option] in the print dialog box.
Note: some printing and cut options may not be available for your printer model.
Auto Cut#
Each label is cut automatically after printing.
If the “Half Cut” or “Cut Mark” setting is already selected to print multiple labels, the tape is cut only after the last label.
Some models can be set to cut the tape after a specified number of labels has been printed.
Click the [Detailed Settings...] button, and then specify the number of labels on the [Option] tab in the printer properties dialog box.
Pause to Cut#
This option is available for the models with a manual cutter.
The printer pauses after printing one or multiple labels, to allow you to cut the tape manually.
Cut at End#
The tape is cut after the last label has been printed.
Half Cut#
Only the label layer is cut. The backing paper of the tape remains uncut.
Cut Mark#
If your model is not equipped with a cutter, a mark is printed at each cut location.
Chain Print#
To minimize the amount of tape that is fed, the printer neither feeds nor cuts the tape after printing if the "Chain Print" checkbox is selected.
When you next print a label, the tape is cut (according to the cut option you have selected) before the printing starts.
The last label should be manually fed before cutting, to prevent the printed text from being cut.
To feed manually, press the feed button or the power button twice (the method depends on the model.)
Special Tape(No Cut)#
The tape is not cut after printing.
This option is for the tape cassettes that are not suitable for use with the cutter. After printing, remove the tape cassette from the machine, and then use scissors to cut the tape.
Mirror Print#
A mirror image of your label (as reflected in a mirror) is printed.
