Cut Options#

This specifies the method for cutting the label after it is printed.

Specify the settings under [Option] of the print dialog box.

Details (Depending on the printer model, some functions may not be available.)

Auto Cut#

Each label is automatically cut off after being printed.
If the “Half Cut” or “Cut Mark” setting was selected to print multiple labels, automatic cutting is performed only after the last label.
Some models can be set to cut the tape after the specified number of labels has been printed.
Click the [Detailed Settings...] button, and then specify the number of labels on the [Option] tab of the printer’s Properties dialog box.

Pause to Cut#

This can be used with models equipped with a manual cutter.
The printer pauses after printing one label or multiple ones. Manually cut the tape.

Cut at End#

The tape is cut after the label printed last.

Half Cut#

Only the label layer is cut, leaving the backing paper of the tape uncut.

Cut Mark#

If the model is not equipped with a cutter, a mark is printed at each cut location.

Chain Print#

In order to minimize the amount of tape that is fed, the printer neither feeds nor cuts the tape after printing.
When the next print operation is performed, the tape is cut (according to the cut options settings) before printing starts.
The last label should be manually fed before cutting to prevent the print from being cut.
(The method for manually feeding, such as pressing the feed button or pressing the power button twice, differs depending on the model.)

Special Tape(No Cut)#

Cutting is not performed after printing.
This is for cassettes that are not suitable for use with the cutter. After printing, remove the tape cassette from the machine, and then use scissors to cut.

Mirror Print#

A mirror image (image flipped as reflected in a mirror) is printed.
